Women’s Ministry at Free City
The primary means for discipleship of the women at Free City happens through City Groups and LTGs. Bible studies, events, and retreats offered are supplementary to these spaces because we believe true discipleship flows out of being a part of a consistent life-changing, gospel-centered community that follows Jesus on mission together.
WOMEN’S QUIET RETREAT
As of 11/23/25, the Women’s Quiet Retreat is FULL. All sign-ups will be placed on a waitlist. For questions, contact Heather.
Women are invited to participate in our third annual Women’s Quiet Retreat from January 16 at 3pm (or when you can arrive) to January 18 at 2pm. Spots are limited and given at a first-come, first-serve basis.
WHAT IT IS:
+ 48 hours of time away to be alone with the Lord and no distractions
+ 2 nights of a room all to yourself
+ 5 meals that you don’t have to prepare or clean up

WHEN: January 16-18, 2026
COST: $350 – please don’t let the cost be the reason you don’t go. Applications for part or full assistance are available. Payment will be due December 16 (one month before)
It is not your typical women’s retreat with get-to-know-you games. There will be no crazy ice breaker questions or trust falls! This is a weekend for solitude! This retreat will give you time and space to rest, think, pray, worship, read, relax and enjoy connecting with God at a beautiful retreat site.
Leaders will provide brief instructional times after each meal, along with optional devotionals and prompts for engaging with the Lord during your time of quiet through Scripture, written prayers, journaling, and more.
Each woman enjoys a private bedroom and bathroom, five amazing meals, and lots of living space to enjoy a warm fire in one of the outdoor fire pits, hike/walk the trails (including a prayer trail and a labyrinth), sit and reflect in the bell garden, or explore hundreds of acres of Heartland’s campus.

WOMEN’S FALL 2025 BIBLE STUDY
This fall, Free City Women will spend 7 weeks studying Ephesians with the use of a Bible Study called Ephesians: A Study of Faith and Practice by Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine L. Holmes, and Melissa Kruger. Three meeting times will be offered:
Tuesday mornings from 6:30-7:30am
Wednesday mornings from 9-10:30am (childcare available)
Sunday evenings from 7-8pm
Start dates are September 23, 24, and 28 respectively. Study books purchased on your own. Small groups will meet in leaders/members homes. Registration has formally closed for the fall, and new groups will launch in February.
